We didn't move to the mountains. We were born in them.

Hunza & Beyond began the way most good things in Hunza do — around a family table. What started as guiding friends-of-friends up the valley has grown into a full tour company hosting guests from Europe, North America, Australia and across Asia, while staying exactly what it was on day one: a local family business.

Our guides grew up walking these trails to school. Our drivers learned the Karakoram Highway before it had asphalt. When you travel with us, the guesthouse owner is someone we’ve known for decades, the jeep driver on the Fairy Meadows track is a specialist with years on that exact road, and the cook on your trek learned his trade on real expeditions.

We believe tourism should make the valleys stronger. That means hiring in every village we pass through, paying porters fairly and supporting the community conservation programs that have brought ibex and markhor back to our slopes. It also means honest advice — if a road is rough, a season is wrong or a trek is beyond your fitness, we’ll tell you before you book, not after.
